It’s March and it has been two months since I was with Monica. And as it’s just been my birthday it’s a really good idea to celebrate it a bit longer in Barcelona.
I had to look well for it this year as the location had changed from the Der Aa church to the Synagog in Groningen. Both lovely serene locations and the exposition is, as it is every year, really quite impressive. Both in beauty as in horror…
My girlfriend M. might be living in Barcelona, she hails from Guatemala. And so when I saw that the museum in Hilversum is hosting an exhibition called “Guatemala – The Battle” I simply had to go and visit this. Last Saturday seemed like a terrific day to get on the train and visit Hilversum.
I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t know one thing about fashion. I saw some catwalk photos of a guy half dressed as a teddy bear carrying an inflated inner-tube of a rear tractor tyre as an accessory and I really didn’t see the fashion in that, nor what the spin-off of it should be. However the photos of the renowned designer Azzedine Alaïa exposition that the Groninger Museum has on at the moment intrigued me.
