Eefje de Visser in Stadsschouwburg

With her two albums ‘De Koek’ and ‘Het is’ (both in Dutch) Eefje proved herself a fantastic lyricist. Clever, heartfelt texts put to music that simply sweeps you along on her journey. Having toured her two albums and after a small church tour in the Netherlands Eefje is now on a tour in theaters called Wereldwatersteden (world water cities), a tour meant to immerse the audience in a warm musical gulf.

Noorderslag Saturday – Platosonic

And as soon as Eurosonic had started, it was over. On Saturday all eyes turn to De Oosterpoort where in the evening only Dutch bands will perform at Noorderslag. New promising acts, bigger names with showcases and of course the traditional Popprijs-beershower. I’m again only doing Platosonic today but that too has a line-up of only Dutch bands today.

Plato Planet 2011 2/2

Plato Planet 2011 was far from over as there were still three acts to see. So after the set by the Pioneers of Love I headed back to the “Kleine zaal” that was already getting crowded in the front rows.

Last Thursday I finally got my chance to see Eefje de Visser. A new rising star in the Dutch music-scene. She played at Noorderslag earlier this year but now she was back as part of her tour.
