I was cycling into the center of Assen and saw these clouds and they got to me. I don’t know why, but every time I see clouds like these, I am reminded of art. The old Dutch landscapes to be precise. There’s something like pure art in clouds…
For the expositions in the Drents Museum in Assen there is often an accompanying piece of art at the canal. A few days ago ‘The American Dream’ opened as an exposition showing American Realism art from 1945 to 2017. For this exposition the accompanying art at the canal is… the Statue of Liberty, posted on rock resembling the Hunebed rocks, linking the Statue of Liberty to Drenthe.
I also hadn’t yet tried a panorama at some distance with the Fujinon 18-135n lens and wanted to try that too, just to have a bit of an idea what I’m going to be working with :) All in all quite happy with the result…
I wanted to test the ND filters, just got a new Hoya 10-stop filter and decided to immediately go for a hard test: double stacking. Added the 10 stop and 3 stop filters together and went from there…
In 30 seconds there is a lot of movement, most is unseen, however if people are on the same spot long enough, you get a glimpse of them.
As I was near the Pannenkoekenschip, a restaurant serving pancakes, I did a shot there too
