First snow in December 2017

We’ve had code orange and code red in the Netherlands all day, warnings to go home on time, to not go out on the road if it’s not really necessary and a record length in traffic-jams. All in all that was a bit much for what little snow we had in the North of the Netherlands, but it did make for a nice view: Snowy wintery landscapes!

Evening walk

The wheels of my Bianchi are still out, but the weather was lovely last evening. And I remembered that it’s been a long, long while since I last just headed out for a walk, so that’s what I did. Grabbed the X-Pro2 and went for a near three hour walk…

Bianchi and windmills

My girlfriend loves windmills and so whenever I run into one, I try to get  a shot of my bike and a windmill in my rides. As it was National Windmill Day in the Netherlands last Sunday they’re all looking at their best now :)

Lunchwalk on January 18

It’s full on winter in the Netherlands and we have had a few days of frost now. And yes: I do know that there are a lot of places in the world where will be far, far colder, but at a mere -6 degrees for a few days the Netherlands turn into a fairytale like scene with beautiful white trees…
