The wheels of my Bianchi are still out, but the weather was lovely last evening. And I remembered that it’s been a long, long while since I last just headed out for a walk, so that’s what I did. Grabbed the X-Pro2 and went for a near three hour walk…

Bianchi and windmills

My girlfriend loves windmills and so whenever I run into one, I try to get  a shot of my bike and a windmill in my rides. As it was National Windmill Day in the Netherlands last Sunday they’re all looking at their best now :)

Lunchwalk on January 18

It’s full on winter in the Netherlands and we have had a few days of frost now. And yes: I do know that there are a lot of places in the world where will be far, far colder, but at a mere -6 degrees for a few days the Netherlands turn into a fairytale like scene with beautiful white trees…

December 18 Drenthe walk

I had a lovely walk in Drenthe this afternoon. A bit over 20km in just over three and a half hours. Unfortunately it was mostly completely cloudy, but on the other hand it wasn’t cold nor did it rain. So all in all a very nice walk.

Gasterse Duinen in December

It’s been a month since I really did some photography (not really counting the few photos I took of the World Press Photo exposition). Coming back sick from vacation, dark nights and working in daytime and editing a huge amount of vacation-photos didn’t make me reach out to my camera immediately. However after a month I figured it was about time again. Also it was high time for a bit of hiking again!
