I visited the TT Festival last night. In a lead up to the trainings and races of the Dutch MotoGP on the TT Circuit of Assen the TT Festival offers lots of fun and activities from Wednesday until Saturday. Musically it’s a bit of a sad affair these days, but luckily there’s lots and lots of other things to do, beginning with a funfair!
I first visited Guatemala in 2016, a vacation to meet the family of Monica and to see a bit of her country. And as I have not visited the country or family last year it was high time to meet her (and my) Guatemalan family again. The start however wasn’t without it’s fair share of obstacles, but that wasn’t going to stop us from having a fantastic time!
Not so long ago I ran into the album ‘Astonishing Tales From Beyond The Brass Dimension’ by the Broken Brass Ensemble, a brass band (naturally) from the Netherlands. And then I saw they’d come to Simplon for a concert. A very nice coincidence and of course I went there too.
At the close of the ice skating season there’s one last time to shine for the ice stadium. After all the ice skate races the final act on the ice is wrecking the layers of ice for real. Fast motorcycles, big spikes and a lot of adrenaline! Welcome to Ice Speedway racing…
