On March 17 we headed to the third concert in a few days time and this time we headed to the Harlem Jazz Club where Ray Cuza & Septeto Sazonando would perform.
On arrival in Harlem Jazz Club it was already very busy in the venue, but we found a fairly good spot and even managed to get some seats for the second set. And even that didn’t hold us all the concert, as there was just too much dancing going on at the concert.
Ray Cuza and his band bring very latin and Cuban sounding music and it’s a joy to see and hear the band.
But the best moment of the evening has to be when Ray pulls up an Indian rose-seller on stage. He tells the audience that the man left his family in India from a high placed caste to do what he loves the most: selling flowers for love in Barcelona. I have no idea if it’s true, but it at least is a very lovely story and the man had such a good time on stage. Quite heartwarming to see.
