Summicron test

As mentioned in the previous post, I don’t have time to fully test the serviced Leica M6 before I’ll head back to Barcelona, however I was able to take the two Summicron lenses with me on a lunch walk this afternoon mounted on the X-Pro1.

Simply choose a few various subjects as I went and didn’t do too much editing afterwards, only a little bit of exposure-compensation. Shot with ‘cloudy’ white-balance and manual focused (as of course you would with manual focus lenses) and hoped for the best.

The images already looked a lot better on the little display of the X-Pro1 then they did before the CLA, on the big screen I was more than happily surprised with the results.

So no worries about the lens when I take the set with me to Barcelona, now only the Leica M6 has to prove that the CLA was money well spent :)
