The Kik and Sp Aties in Vera
On October 12 the The Kik, with their luscious Nederbeat sound (reviving the very early sixties sound) came to Vera. The perfect stage for a trip to the past.
However, before The Kik was on, we were first treated the Sp Aties. If The Kik grabs back to the early Beatles sound, the Sp Aties is closer to the old Rolling Stones. Wild Rock’n'Roll, with a singer that definitely” moves like Jagger”. Fantastic short songs, all in Dutch. Great band!

But the headliner was The Kik and they gave a fantastic concert. The band really nails it, down to the clothing: neat suits like they still did back in the early 60′s. All songs again in Dutch. Light, funny, happy songs, nothing too philosophical. And it’s always fun to see a band on stage that’s really having a ball and a laugh. All that was missing were the hoards of screaming teenage girls… maybe next time
