Vacation in New York

I just spent a week in New York on vacation. Lots of impressions and a fantastic week. New York is huge, not only in height and very surreal coming from a small town in the Netherlands.

After my first solo-vacation to Rome last year, I wanted to go a bit further away this year and choose New York as the destination. Got a hotel just below Central Park and set of from there.

I’ll not bore you was a day to day account of all the things I’ve done, that would take way to long, but I visited museums, Central Park, saw the Statue of Liberty, walked a heck of a lot, rode the subways, saw Yankee Stadium and saw a great gig in Central Park. Also had a great evening being taken along by Marybeth D’Amico seeing a more real New Yorker evening and saw beautiful houses on Staten Island. Incredibly beautiful landscapes from the plane (mostly over Iceland and Greenland) and was both happy and sad to be home again after 8 days of travelling.
