I haven’t done nearly as much sports photography this year as I liked to have done. Come to think of it, I haven’t done any at all. Busy with other things and concert photography takes up a lot of time too. So when I saw that there would be held regatta rowing championships nearby this Saturday, I jumped on it. Haven’t ever shot rowing before, so that would make an interesting challenge.
I would have liked to get in far more closer on the action, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible, but with a variety in lenses I was able to shoot some of the action and the stuff in and around the races. It was a lot of fun at the Martini Regatta and I’d love to shoot regatta racing some more.
As for the photos I decided to go with black&white. It’s a bit of a favourite of mine at the moment and here I also preferred the stronger images to the basic colour ones.
