From one extreme to the other. Last week I visited (amongst others) the lo-fi concerts of Hartog Eysman and No Ninja Am I at the wishfulmusic concerts in the Groniner Museum and on Friday I went to Vera for Gothic/Doom metal by Autumn
However first The Wounded were on. Also a a Metalband with Doom/Gothic influences, but they also take influences from more Symphonical metal bands. Sounded OK, but it didn’t really hit the right spot. Only when they got a long haired female guest singer on stage for one song things got spiced up to keep things going till the end.
Shortly after Autumn was up. I’m sorry to say that at concerts the lighting determines quite a part of my overall view of a concert and the lighting at the Autumn gig was appalling. Flooding the stage with smoke and lights nearly only from the back (or straight below) does not a happy photographer make. The gig itself was OK though. I need to get used to the voice of the new singer, but the overall sound was very good.
